Parks' Plumbing Sub-Floor Drainage Systems

(Interior Drain Tile Systems)

When installing a sub-floor drainage system we put in a pipe under the basement floor and surround it wirh gravel.

We put in gravel around the pipe.

Seepage can be a horrible thing. Water ruins carpets, walls, furniture, and more. It is caused by a number of factors - including high water table, ground type, precipitation, snow melting, or more - but the good news is it can be taken care of As a seasoned waterproofing company we know how to get rid of seepage water on your basement floor once and for all.

To begin with hoever, prior to installing an interior sub-floor drainage system we inpect your home and the property to determine a more exact cause of seepage, and to see if other conditions (such as existence of foundation cracks or outside drainage issues) can contribute to the problem. If so, sometimes by repairing those issues you take care of the seepage problem for a substantially lower price. Interior sub-floor drainage system does not need to be installed in every house, however many homeowners choose to have one put in just in case they start getting seepage water after they remodel their basement.

After the sub-floor drainage is installed - we reconcrete the basement floor

With that in mind - how do we install such a system? Usually we excavate a trench around the perimeter of the basement, and install a perforated pipe (4" in diameter) under the basement floor which is surrounded by gravel. That way, any ground water that would previously show up on the basement floor will now be directed to the new drainage pipe through which it will flow to a pump basin. Then, we install a pump basin from which a pump will discharge the water out and away from the home.
