Depending on the location of the system (i.e. in the grass, sidewalk, or driveway) or customers' preferences, we install at least three different types of covers on top of our Parks' Double Guard Flood Control System. The covers enable us to access the entire system for rodding and/or maintenance purposes.
We care about our customers' landscaped lawns, flowers and plants. A Parks' Recessed Grass Cover is most frequently installed, and is used when the system is installed in the grassy part of the lawn. It is made of galvanized steel, and consists of two main elements: a permanent base and an in-laid insert that is lifted when access to the system is needed. Both elements are placed so that grass can grow on top of them, making the entire installation almost invisible.
A Parks' Bolt-Down Cover can also be installed, and it consists of a permanent steel frame, a steel lid, and two stainless steel bolts holding the lid down to the frame. If access to the system is needed, we undo the bolts and lift the lid. This cover is noticeable on the lawn.
A Parks' Heavy Duty Cast Iron Cover is usually installed when the system is placed in driveways and/or sidewalks. This cover consists of a combination heavy duty steel permanent frame and lid. This cover is so strong it is made for cars to drive over. In unusual circumstances or per customers' request, we sometimes install a specially designed, cast iron gasketed cover. This forth cover, however, is not very popular.
