The Parks Double Guard Flood Control System is installed on the section of the house sewer line between the house and the city or village sewer main (in the majority of the cases it is approximately 10-15 feet away from the front wall of the house - in the front yard).
In municipalities with a combined storm and sanitary sewer system (such as the City of Chicago), the Parks' Double Guard Flood Control System is installed on the street side of the drain tile's connection to the house sewer line. This connection is usually within five feet of the front wall of the house. By putting the system away from the house not only do we protect your house from being flooded, but also we make sure the back flowing sewage doesn't back up into the drain tile which would pressurize the entire house or building.
In municipalities that have a separated storm and sanitary sewer system, the Parks' Double Guard Flood Control System is normally installed on the sanitary sewer line. In certain cases, both the sanitary and storm sewer lines need a flood control system to protect the house from flooding. If such a need exists, we design a complete system to protect both sewers.
