Common indications of a broken water line may include an excessively high water bill, puddles or soft spots in your yard or the sound of running water when no faucets or relevant appliances are running. If you know where the main water meter is by the street you can look to see if the dial is spinning when no water is being used. This indicates that the water is still flowing through your water service and may be leaking underground somewhere. We have state-of-the-art leak detection equipment which helps us locate the leak and determine the best approach whether to repair or replace.
Using advanced technology equipment we can often use a trenchless method of replacing your water service which “pulls” the new water service line through the old line from the water meter to your house or business. This trenchless method saves your landscaping and driveway from being uprooted and cut into. In most cases we will dig an access hole at the main water meter and your home or business for the water connection. We are licensed and bonded for all of the Chicago area that we cover to replace your main water service, sewer service line or tap into the city sewer main. From excavation, asphalt and concrete cutting and repair we handle all aspects of the job.
